We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all our users. The Aktiv platform is made with accessibility features that are designed to address a range of needs, including visual, auditory, and motor differences. The below notes may assist students, instructors, or other users who require alternative input devices, make use of screen readers, or need different display options.
Navigating the Website
- Keyboard Navigation: Aktiv supports keyboard navigation to enable users who rely on keyboards or assistive devices to navigate through the website easily. Use the "Tab" key to move between interactive elements, and press "Enter" to activate a selected item. You will able to navigate any grouped list of elements using the arrow keys as well.
- Skip Links: We provide skip links that allow users to jump directly to the main content or other important sections of the website, bypassing repetitive navigation elements.
Font Size
- To enhance readability, Aktiv.com is compatible with zooming from the native OS settings, or browser zoom. Depending on your current screen size, there may be an upper limit on the usable zoom. Please feel free to reach out to support@aktiv.com if there are having issues viewing parts of the screen at a particular zoom level.
- Images on our website are accompanied by descriptive alternative text, which can be read by screen readers to provide context and information. Note: On questions created via the Authoring tool, please include any alt text needed within the Question Prompt.
Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continuously strive to improve our accessibility features. If you have any suggestions or encounter any barriers while using our website, we encourage you to share your feedback with us at support@aktiv.com.
